Galeria Bielska BWA has an art collection consisting of now 904 paintings, prints, drawings and fabrics.

The collection, commenced almost from the opening of the gallery, comes from various sources - a significant percentage of these art works has been donated by artists, and another substantial part purchased with the funds of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage within the Regional Collections of Contemporary Art programme (since 2012). For the last few years, the gallery has also continued to acquire sponsors offering to finance the purchase of specific works to be included in the collection.

„Bielska Jesień" (Bielska Autumn) is a competition with a long tradition. Bielska Gallery BWA in Bielsko-Biala is the organizer of since the very beginning. The first edition was held in 1962, through the time it has become one of the most important competitions in Poland devoted to modern painting.

History of Design Competition 'Project ARTING " goes back 90 years of the twentieth century, when first three editions (1994, 1995, 1996) were held in Bielsko-Biala. After ten years the project was reactivated (2006) and currently is published every two years. Addressed to the designers and industrial design students in Poland, in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Its purpose is to create cutting-edge design projects and than apply it in the industry by the local companies from the region of Bielsko-Biala and „Euroregion BESKIDY".

The project "Lokomotywa - strategy of cluster development " is the latest project led by the Bielska Gallery BWA in Bielsko-Biala during the years 2008-2011.
The project is led by the Gallery in partnership with Bielsko-Biala Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry (www.cci.pl/) and Oslo Teknopol (www.osloteknopol.no) , which is based in Norway. It is co-financed by the Regional Policy and Cross-Border Programme of the Norwegian Finance Mechanism.. It is the only project under this measure to be selected from the Silesian Voivodship in 2008. The main goal of "Lokomotywa" is to build clusters (partnerships for growth) within the creative sector of the economy
