"oBBraz miasta #2" projects is co-financed by Bielsko-Biała municipality.

I. The organisor:
The organisors of the mural design and making contest are Bielska Gallery BWA, Foundation of Bielska Gallery and Housing Association of Karpackie housing estate.

II. Description of the object in the mural design and making contest:
The goal of the mural design and making contest:

The goal of the mural design and making is to find the best design of a mural – a large format wall painting that will be placed by the winner on a wall of a 10-floor block of flats, located on Morskie Oko 23 street, in Karpackie housing estate in Bielsko-Biała.

Theme of the mural:
The mural is meant to be inspired by Tatra of Carpathian Mountains and Morskie Oko lake. The wall is particularly exposed in its upper part which is visible over the soundproof screens - due to this, it is recommended to focus on this part of the mural. The composition and colour scheme must be fitting into style of Karpackie housing estate architecture (a multi-colour composition is recommended).

Localization of the mural:
The wall of a block of flats situated on Morskie Oko 23 street in Bielsko-Biała (approx. 403 m2 / 33,40 m x 12,05 m)

Technique of the mural:
The large format painting based on usage of an acrylic or other professional paints (in example, spreys).

III. Conditions of participation:
1. Mural design and making contest has an open nature.
2. A participant of mural design and making contest is obliged to deliver their resume and portfolio together with his project.
3. The mural's design must be original and prepared specially for the contest.
4. The contest participant should be an adult and a physical person living in Poland or abroad or team of authors, that later will be bound with a contract for implementation of the project.
In case of group works, a team wishing to participate in the contest must name one of the members to speak on behalf of the rest. Relevant experience in similar projects is mandatory together with valid medical clearance for work at heights.
5. All of the participants receive the same information pack.
6. Application is free of charge.
7. The participants can deliver more than one project. In this case each of them should be sent to info@galeriabielska.pl with subject field saying: Application to the mural design and making contest.
8. The design should be delivered in digital form of a .jpeg file format, in 1600x1200px resolution and at 75DPI (vizualization on the picture with wall). The application must include two elements: visualization of the mural and separate project file.
9. Making of the painting by the participant is obligatory.
10. The creation of the mural will be photographed and recorded by the Organisor. Materials received in the process will be used to promote the project.
11. The participant is obliged to take part in a meeting with the rest of the artists contributing into "oBBraz miasta" project. During the meeting they will publically present their existing work (in form of multimedia presentation) and tell about the mural being created.
12. The participant gives consent for their personal data to be processed for the purposes of the mural design and making contest.

IV. Due date and adress for sending the applications:
All designs together with their visualization, author's portfolio and resume should be sent to: info@galeriabielska.pl only between 5th and 18th of May 2015.

V. Evaluation of submissions:
1. All of the projects delivered in the mural design and making contest will be evaluated according to the formal requirements of a Commission including employees of BWA Gallery in Bielsko as well as representatives of Bielsko Gallery Foundation and Housing Association of Karpackie housing estate.
2. The submissions will be evaluated in terms of artistic value and relevance to the subject of mural design and
making contest.
3. The decisions of the Contest Comission are final and incontestable. The Comission's verdict cannot be appealed against.

VI. Prizes:
The winner of the mural design and making will receive a net prize of 13 500 PLN.
The contest organisor provides paints, manlift, technical support and accomodation.

VII. Public information about results of mural design and making contest:
1. The mural design and making contest results will be announced on the offocial website
of the Organisor www.galeriabielska.pl, on Facebook: www.facebook.com/galeriabielskaand official website of Housing Association of Karpackie housing estate.
2. The winner of the mural design and making contest will be additionally informed by e-mail.
3. The Organisor and the Winner will sign a contract of commission for implementing the project. The prize makes the pay for the project and creation of the mural and includes the transfer and purchase of related copyrights.

VIII. Schedule the mural design and making contest:
1. Application deadline: 18th of May 2015
2. Results announcement: 22nd of May 2015
3. Making of the mural deadline: by 30th of June 2015

IX. Cancellation of the mural design and making contest:
The organisor reserves the right to cancel the mural design and making contest if:
1. No designs is submitted,
2. None of the submissions meets the requirements listed in the Regulations,
3. The general artistic level of submissions is below expectations,
4. Any situation independent of the Organisor.

X. Final provisions:
1. Taking part in the mural design and making contest equals acceptation of the regulations herein.
2. Taking part in the mural design and making contest equals agreeing for unpaid publishing of the winning design in media, publishing houses and others with the aim of the design's promotion.
3. The Organisor reserves the right to change the due dates given herein.
4. The organisor reserves the right to correct the winning project. This shall happen after consulting its Author and is meant to prepare it for final implementation.
5. The costs of preparing and submissing the design are covered only by the Participant of the mural design
making contest.
6. The winning mural design will be painted with professional exterior paints by its author on a wall of a 10-floor block of flats, located on Morskie Oko 23 street in Bielsko-Biała.
7. The costs of painting the mural are on the Organisor.
8. All possible conflicts between the Participant and the organisor will be submitted for resolution by a common court having jurisdiction over the Organisor.
9. The mural design and making contest is not a 'lottery game' in terms of the Act of July 29th 1992, about lottery games and bets. (Official Journal, No 68, Law 341 as amended).
