It is the fourth time that Galeria Bielska BWA, the Historical Museum in Bielsko-Biała, the Centre for Photography Foundation and the Association of Polish Visual Artists, Disrict of Bielsko-Biała are organizing the Bielsko-Biała Festival of Visual Arts which offers a broad review of artwork from Bielsko-Biała and the region.

The aim of the festival exhibitions - which will be presented this summer in Galeria Bielska BWA, the Old Factory Historical Museum, the B & B Photo Gallery and the PPP Gallery - is to bring together all kinds of visual artists. Candidates can send in only one work which has been done in the last four years with the use of traditional techniques, such as painting, sculpture, drawing, print; new media including photography, video, film, object, installation, performance; or applied arts: glass , ceramics, fabric, poster.

Artists can also submit projects for temporary exhibition in the city's public spaces.

The festival will be held under the auspices of the Mayor of Bielsko-Biała Jacek Krywult, who also sponsors the Main Award in the amount of PLN 5,000 for the winner selected by jury.

In addition, special prizes in the form of solo exhibitions will be awarded by the Director of Galeria Bielska BWA (solo exhibition at Galeria Bielska BWA), Director of the Historical Museum in Bielsko-Biała (exhibition at the Historical Museum), President of the Centre of Photography Foundation (exhibition at the B & B Photo Gallery) and the Board of ZPAP, Bielsko-Biała District (exhibition at the PPP Gallery).

The exhibition will run from 29 June - 26 August, 2018. It will be accompanied by a catalogue featuring reproductions, portraits and biographical notes of all the artists participating in the exhibition.

The previous, 3rd Bielsko-Biała Festival of Visual Arts 2014 featured a total of 166 artists.
