"2B in Bielsko-Biała. Double Pleasure from Poland" is an exhibition organised by Galeria Bielska BWA  in cooperation with Agija Sūna Art Gallery in Riga. The exhibition will be shown in Agija Sūna Art Gallery and Glass Art Gallery, both located in the historic heart of Riga, featuring works by 11 contemporary Polish artists whose creative activities include painting, object, photography and video art. These artists all have ties with Bielsko-Biała and the region - they either live in the area or have at some point pursued their creative activities here, often exhibiting their works and participating in competitions and reviews organised by Galeria Bielska BWA. They represent both the older and younger generation of artists, the former with substantial achievements and recognisable styles based largely on abstraction, and the latter experimenting with various media and latest technologies, and often boasting considerable oeuvre and vast experience, despite young age, crowned by grants and awards which they have won at numerous exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
The exhibition will feature works by the following artists:

painting: Jagoda Adamus, Tamara Berdowska, Krzysztof Kokoryn, Elżbieta Kuraj, Agula Swoboda, Teresa Sztwiertnia, Bartłomiej Zygmunt Siegmund

The exhibition aims to show a full spectrum of contemporary Polish schools of art - with all their genres and trends, themes and media, inspirations and concepts - as well as attempting to synthesize a number of common motifs and other elements used by contemporary Polish artists.
The exhibition will be accompanied by the screening of some of the examples of contemporary Polish video art, and a selection of animated films created in the famous Animated Films Studio in Bielsko-Biała.
The event will be held under the auspices of the Polish Embassy in the Republic of Latvia.

Curators: Agata Smalcerz, Justyna Łabądź
