The array of techniques currently used by the artist exceeds far beyond traditional weaving. Her artistic pursuits include classic tapestry, patchwork, spatial form, and mixed media. The artist's creative approach to weaving results in unique work which challenges the conventional tapestry. And yet, her favourite media remain traditional warp and weft patterns for which the artist uses ever more innovative ideas resulting in works of extraordinary beauty. One of the artist's techniques is sewing - with a needle or sewing machine she conjures up remarkable colourful applique designs or abstract patchwork compositions. These impressive, yet intimate, works interact with the viewer who desires to touch, rather than simply looking at them. Whether a tangle of threads, patchwork or tapestry inducing the impression of warmth, her work invariably becomes a life companion.
