The search for the unknown stems from emotion, experience and passion embedded in the painting craft. The process of painting becomes an act of releasing energy accumulated in the structure of the painting matter; a struggle for its own original shape which is born from the confrontation between dreams and impotence, between ideals and the physicality of objects, between spirit and matter. Here, the forces of dispersion wrestle with the forces of concentration; coincidence contends with necessity. This leads to a search for balance between the open and the secret, the tangible and the unsaid.

The things I particularly value in my painting experience are openness and experimentation which bring a fascinating outcome. This provides room for success and failure, experience, risk and knowledge. I'm fascinated by all experiments which result in enriching the surface of the painting, by any new ways of applying paint which put me in control of the painting matter.
