Outcome: Realization of art events in the public space of Bielsko-Biała city, lecture presentation, workshops and other extra activities presented at the Bielska Gallery BWA.



Duration:
1st period: 01-30 July 2015
2nd period 01-30 August 2015

Results announcement: beginnig of April 2015

Paid by host: accommodation, promotion, technical help
Paid by artist: art materials, living and travel expenses, Visa, insurance, personal needs etc.

Program:
This edition is devoted to COLLABORATION between the participants, curators and local artists in order to create minimum 2 events made in the public space of the city. The events can relate to the subject of the residency (Beyond Time), they can be a response to the environment, the landscape, or to the history of the city. They can take a form of a festival, performances mixed with audio-visual works, concerts, actions, video projections etc.
The edition is divided in two parts. Each will last for one month (July or August). At once we can accept from 2 till 4 artists.

Gallery space events:
- Lecture presentation in the first week of the residency
- Artists will show their previous art projects
- Closing in the last week of the stay
- Summary of all artistic activities presented in a form of digital presentation in the gallery
Other possibilities:
- Workshops for children or adults
- Performance
- Concert
- Open air cinema (the Gallery square)
Public space events:
- Minimum two events made in the public space of the city realized in collaboration with other participants, curators and local artists.

Application Criteria:
The open call is directed to professional artists, who are active in the field of contemporary art. Invited artists must be able to engage in joint activities during their stay, interact with other artists, have some English-language capabilities and be open for a dialog & collaboration. There are no specific preferences to an art discipline, but the artist must be interested in realization of an art event in the public space, made with other participants. Admitted are single and duo artists. Interested artists from around the world (except Poland) are kindly invited to apply.

There is no application fee.

The application materials should not exceed 10 MB in total.
Please note: Applications not meeting these criteria will not be considered.
